Being Citybroke is about perspective. It’s about seeing glitter in the gutter and a sense of humor when life is giving you everything you don’t exactly want and you’re hanging on for a dream that you sometimes can’t remember.
It’s not sales or survival - it’s an electronic letter from the trenches. It’s what suits who make $60K in at age 24 can’t even imagine. It’s Freedom. It’s Poverty. It’s Broken. It’s Beautiful.

A Great Site for Holiday Gifts: Etsy.com

My friend tuned me into this really cool site just in time to start my (online of course) holiday shopping. Etsy.com is full of unique, even one-of-a-kind, usually hand-made, stuff. You can either buy or sell on Etsy (they give you your own store!) so you artsy-fartsy kids out there will be in luck. My favorite section is "Colors", where you can scroll over a palate and they find you all the gifts in whatever color you click on. Check out where each seller is selling from with "Geolocater", where Etsy sellers are placed on a map of the world, or travel through time while you shop with "Time Machine". Where was this site when in was in high-school - trippy!

Word of advice from my friend: "remember a lot of cheap purchases add up." Thanks Willy !

I've never seen anything like this site--so unique. Has anyone bought artwork here? It looks cool...
