Being Citybroke is about perspective. It’s about seeing glitter in the gutter and a sense of humor when life is giving you everything you don’t exactly want and you’re hanging on for a dream that you sometimes can’t remember.
It’s not sales or survival - it’s an electronic letter from the trenches. It’s what suits who make $60K in at age 24 can’t even imagine. It’s Freedom. It’s Poverty. It’s Broken. It’s Beautiful.

This Screenwriter's Strike should be Epic.

I want to have a bucket of buttery popcorn in hand as the plot of the Screenwriter's Freedom Strike unfolds. Think about it - these guys are the jedi of storytelling spin-doctors. I'm hoping for a tragic hero, I'm hoping for a "Blue" character like the one from Old School, I'm hoping for a villain in a grey suit, I'm hoping for an unlikely romance, I'm hoping for a duel, I'm hoping for a "spontaneous" Jerry Maguire scene where a scruffy looking underpaid genius explains why he just wants a piece of the pie because he's been scraping by since his Dad kicked him out of his house at 17 years old. These studios don't know who they're messing with. It's going to be Wag the Dog meets Dave except for reals. I can't wait for this to heat up! I can't wait for this!
