Being Citybroke is about perspective. It’s about seeing glitter in the gutter and a sense of humor when life is giving you everything you don’t exactly want and you’re hanging on for a dream that you sometimes can’t remember.
It’s not sales or survival - it’s an electronic letter from the trenches. It’s what suits who make $60K in at age 24 can’t even imagine. It’s Freedom. It’s Poverty. It’s Broken. It’s Beautiful.

What's Going on? -In Pakistan-

You probably don't know what the hell is going on in Pakistan, but you should.
Emergency rule in Pakistan: Musharraf's last grab for power? csmonitor.com
"Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf declared a state of emergency Saturday, effectively eliminating the opposition that has built against him in recent months...Under the emergency order, he has sacked more than half of the Supreme Court, jailed up to 500 opposition party leaders, and shut down the independent media...assuming that the US has invested too much in him and the war on terror to withdraw its patronage."
"It marks an important moment for former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto [A WOMAN]. As one of the last opposition figures who is not under arrest, she is uniquely situated to rally the masses against the president."
The pattern is so similar," says Hassan Abbas, a Pakistan expert at Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass. "It looks like the last efforts of a dictator who is out of touch with reality."
