Being Citybroke is about perspective. It’s about seeing glitter in the gutter and a sense of humor when life is giving you everything you don’t exactly want and you’re hanging on for a dream that you sometimes can’t remember.
It’s not sales or survival - it’s an electronic letter from the trenches. It’s what suits who make $60K in at age 24 can’t even imagine. It’s Freedom. It’s Poverty. It’s Broken. It’s Beautiful.

A million dollars a kid is going to be rough

on 10 cents a day.
Speaking of how much kids cost, I'm interviewing next week to be a "Big" for NYC Big Brothers and Big Sisters. If I pass all the tests and my references check out I get to be in charge of a little city kid for 8 hours a month. For free!check out big brothers and big sisters NYC

I'd skip the tube and adopt.
According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, there are more than 500,000 children in foster care in the United States. Approximately 114,000 of those children will not be able to return to their parents and are waiting for families to adopt them.
